and so it begins .. I have just won my first piece of fairing on ebay ..the large left hand lower for just £15 inc. P&P!! ...yeay!!

I am determined that this bike will be put back totally original and like new again :-)

Jules
Congratulations Jules!! Now start piecing her back together. Just make sure the plastics are in good enough shape to satisfy your fussy standards. I'd hate for you to spend good money and then not be happy with the results because of someone else'sshoddy care. Good luck!!

Thank you :-) ..the fairing was advertised as just about immaculate, I dont expect perfection but I strive for something close ... I have also now just bid on a cowling in the same colour too ...I am a lucky kitteh so far and the parts are peanuts ..£8.00 for the cowling .. I will at least be able to put her back eventually as she was then if there are one or two parts I want better I would consider new or another off ebay ..also with these parts being so cheap I may well end up with some spare panels too into the bargain :-)

hey Justin :-) ..the frame was scuffed but I just think its from the plastic scuffing it on impact ..all seems well ..so I have a good frame, engine and forks with a perfect petrol tank .. a perfect restoration project really :-)

I need indicators (both) ...mirrors ... left and right fairing lowers ..left and right cowlings ... top half fairing and centre bit above headlight, screen, RHS side seat cowl too

it has to be original for me though
+1!

Hooray! I've always thought there's something central to a bike about the tank...if it survives harm, the whole bike has a good chance.

Great news about finding items to bid on. I spent a year and only rarely found plastic...all the stunters destroyed them, and Honda no longer makes any for my model.

I know it's for Fireblades, but they do have some parts for the 600F...which one is yours, the FW? I did email them once and they were very pleasant and helpful:

http://www.thebladeshop.co.uk/

I am pretty certain I can buy the parts new in original colour still from my local Honda dealer or at least I could about two years ago .. you cant buy new plastic for your blade?? ..I am surprised by that ..I thought Honda were one of the best for getting parts for old bikes?? ..maybe it is different in the UK??

Thank you for the link Spirit :-) ..I will check that out also, yes my bike is the FW ..the very last of the steel frame CBRs
