Default socal cops

So is it just me, or does anyone else in socal, mainly orange county, never get pulled over my cop CARS? For some reason, I've never once been pulled over by a cop car, only the motorcycle cops. I can't count how many times I've ridden down roads cruisin 60 in a 45 and just zone out and either pass a cop chillin and waiting for speers or just passing them oncoming. I'm guessing its because most of us split lanes regularly and they know unless they tag us at the exact right time, they can't even get behind us to read our plates before were a couple blocks ahead. But then again I ride pretty exclusively in orange county, so maybe they see me and know me? Idk... anyone in any other state or county feel free to chime in, I'd love to know your experience and what to watch out for if i ever ride through your town.

Hey man, its not like I ride down the road and do dumb ****. I'm saying sometimes you do zone out, especially on a road when the speed limit changes or for whatever reason. I'm also not saying to run from the PO PO. I'm saying in Cali, by the time a cop finds a place to pul a u-turn, you're already blocks ahead with traffic in between, so how CA he pull you over? He/she usually just doesn't look twice. It may just be the area I am in, because if the sun is out, you are sticking your arm out to other riders almost every block, no joke. And almost every one us splits to the front at stop lights

Man I wish it were legal to filter/lane split in the rest of the country.

i'm not digging on you.

but saying "i seem to never get pulled over" is one of those things that is a recipe for getting pulled over

ergo the common expression "knock on wood"

i didn't say you were running from cops or riding like a dumbass. easy there killer...

Remember, the sheriffs that are in cars have more to do than traffic stops. Motorcycle officers are there to only do traffic. Traffic is their sole purpose to exist.

The CHP is a different story.

And as Conrice suggests, go buy some wood to knock on if they haven't pulled YOU over!

and it's weird, because being a motorcycle officer (at least in my local department) is one of the highest positions you can get - i found that out when i shadowed them in highschool.

you'd think that they would want to stick senior officers on something that required a little bit more seniority than writing tickets....

Yeah, conrice, I did take your first reply in the wrong context, my apologies! Don't get me wrong, I have been pulled over a handful of times, just never by a car. Maybe I should knock on wood. On the other hand, have any of y'all just have the feeling you should slow down, so you do, then you pas an officer, maybe that has something to do with it. On busy streets and freeways I try my best not to speed around a point in the road where I can't see far enough to correct myself....And 74demon, I have calmed down my riding a LoT since I got my f4 lol... You saw the f2...smh...

i ride pretty much the same roads - and i know where cops can hide and where there's just no chance....

so i do slow down in those certain areas sometimes. i also pay attention to traffic a ways up the road in those areas too. if i see brake lights for "no reason", i slow down because it might be people reacting to seeing a cop radar-ing. sometimes i'm right, sometimes i'm wrong... but i haven't gotten a ticket yet, knock on wood.

i don't want anyone to get tickets.... they're too damn expensive! and i think speeding is a BS ticket anyways (within reason).
