What really sucks is that if I get splattered all over the pavement by a PTA mother in a minivan, nobody on cbrforum.com would even know.

buddy system?
I think we already have a pretty close nit group here. This is the only place that I know of where members will do a call out if they have noticed another member post in a while.
How could we operate a true buddy system?

seeing these threads on a daily basis makes me f***ing nervous. im a new rider (21k miles seat time on my 1st bike so far) and i rode throughout the MD winter and still rolling. reading SO MANY of these threads makes me nervous that my turn could be any day, b/c i ride EVERY single day.....its my daily driver.
be safe everyone, keep the stories of others in your mind when you decide you want to see how far over you can get in a corner.
i hope everyone stays safe. no bad stories.

GPS **** probes...when our locators have been idle for an extended period of time on a highway, then we are either dead or have taken a major dump on the side of the highway.

Not to fuel anything, but I don't think Kid sounds ignorant at all. I think he was padding the fact that almost all of the wrecking stories were just a single vehicle accident. The fact of the matter is, people decide to push the envelope on the street, without bothering to even make maybe one low speed pass (generally). As a result, their life could have simply ended, but by God's good graces they get to post about it and tell other people to turn their brains on before going riding and to be cautious, lest they end up dead.
take it personally if you must, but try and look at the big picture here, you're dealing with life and death.
