34 years 1st was a 70's honda fiddy,my 1st street bike i bought when i was 15 and waited"impatiently by the way"till i made 16 was Honda Intersledster VTR 2fiddy,i wrecked it in 3 months when sum 80 sumthin year old ran a stop sign and damn neer killed me,it was the only new bike i've ever owned,till i bought a new fiddy this year for fun.....

I love most of the old timers saying "I got my first bike in 1969!!!" but then I ask them what they ride now and they say I havent had a bike in 20 years but they claim that it still counts as them "have been riding since 1969"
If you didnt own your own bike during the time it doesnt count :P
I've been riding since 2000 owned a bike every day since.

Started on dirt with a little Yammy PW80 when I was 12 and did some half-assed racing on CR 60, 80, and 250 as a teen and finally got the street bike I've been wanting last december. 
So that'll be 13 years on 2 wheels and 8 months on the street.
p.s. I've got 10k miles so far this year! I love florida!

, a bit like some younger guys that have show ponies the anyone can tell roll jack chit miles in reality ..
If it sits in your garage all safe and clean most of the time , I spose it don't count either..
2 wheels in the garage for my whole life and I have to wash my bike 2 - 3 times a week to get road grime off of it..
I wonder if having a continuous 12 mths ridding season every year should double as 2 years .. LOL.
Relativity...may be slightly different for everyone...but the feeling and mind set is just the same for everyone
