RE: so the big 4 2009s are out now
The new hondas dont do anything for me, every time i see them i like them less and less. just a god awful ugly bike lol fast but ugly.
the new R1 is going to be sick, ive been reading about it and there are some major technology upgrades this year that will be sweet if they work reliably.
the GSXR and the Kawi are tweeners, have not got to read much about them.

Ya - the 600/1000 bikes are getting less and less street friendly... sure they're wicked beasts on the track. Some might argue they are looking cooler and cooler.
I personally find myself looking away from the 600 class more and more. I have an F4, love riding it and on the street it does all I need. It is really ashame as going to the bigger sport tourers gives up so much handling over the F4 that it ruins the experience.
I wonder how much longer the 600/1000 war will continue. In USA it might keep going, but in "nanny states" as they're called the end is near I think - and don't think the big 4 will make a bike just for us. Not with the economy tanking.
Sad state of affairs in my opinion. Nice bikes - wicked fun on the track - but for the real street riders (as opposed to our coffee shop poser friends) these bikes are making less and less sense. Remember 10 years ago having the 600 pin up on the garage wall? I had the 9r on my wall when she first came out. Sigh. Am I old now?

yea, all the new bikes look like they should play a part in the new transformers movie. totaly robotic looking.
but if they are as fast as they are supposed to be i wouldn't mind taking 1 to it's limits(whaaahooooo!!!!!)
ugly or not they have to be a blast to ride and cutting tech. should be a screem. i'm in, it's not the face you ride but the ride you face.

Xura that really is the new R1 in all its bug eyed glory. Dont even think about covering them up either, the air ducts are right next to them. Although after some reading, im a bit curious about their new "big bang" powerplant, it sounds really good. They may surpass the others now in power and low end torque.

I didnt think the older R1 looked to be to be honest. This new one just looks like..... a really ugly bug.
