It sounds to me like you may be with her becasue she is alot like your Ex. I have done that in the past and it never works out. Brake the mold and go for a differant look LOL!

Pet names are good till you forget who got which name... I've gone through all the pet names... cupcake, doll, cutie, darlin, pumpkin, everything. The problem gets to when she knows that it's HER pet name then u use a diff one... it comes off weird even though its easily correctable anyway, point being you can **** up any name, pet or not. I'd go with what O Lively said

 

Gonna have to agree with pet names always a safe bet besides if she ever is like Pumpkin ****!? Thats not my pet name be like ummm I'm just trying something new . Haha sorry for my example of pet names but was just watching scary movie 1 and he calls her that in it .
