RE: Should I sell my Corvette and buy a Chopper?
I sold my 68 camaro in 2000 and wish I never did. I hardley ever drove it either, it was built to the hilt and wasn't a daily driver. I always missed that car it was paid for and just a toy. Now 6 years later I got a 67 Firebird andit hascostme 10 times what the Camaro did and IM still not finished with it. Still wish I never sold it!
You will miss it and wish you never did sell it/ the grass always seems greeer on the other side, well its not. Choppers look cool and thats about it. Everyone I know that has one puts less miles on em then your Vette.

So I have had my 1970 Corvette for 16 years. Original 454/390HP big block automatic. I never really liked this car to drive, but it looks good. I have collectors insurance for it, only $210/year so it is cheap to own. Everytime I drive it, people either yell at me or leave me notes, very strange, kinda like being on display.
I think I want a chopper or maybe a Victory Jackpot or something. I need room in the garage. plus I don't really drive the car much, maybe 500 miles per year. I have the F4i, a 2005 S2000, a 2006 Acura TL, so I don't really have a NEED for it.
I think I could get about $20k for it, maybe more, I don't even know. What do youthink? Keep it? or Sell it andget a chopper?

Matching # big block Corvettes are one of the BEST investment cars out there. 60's models Stingrays in good condition will easily sell for over $100K. Keep the Vette, and let it appreciate in value. You can use it one day to put your kids through college or buy a vacation home. Sounds like you're pretty well off, so why not just build another garage?

That's one hot *** stingray. My dad has a '65 that I have never seen run. He has always talked about fixing it but has always worked and never done it. I think my dad would castrate you if he saw this....LOL. I would keep it, but that is just me.

I paid $10,500 for the car, put maybe $7k into it over the years. It is really starting to go up in value I guess, but I go through this 'should I sell exercise' every few years. Maybe I'll just 'Rent a Harley' a few times to get it out of my system.
