Have a look at the GOOD BUY post - maybe an x11 is within your budget ?
I'm not saying the KBC's a bad helmet, just that the x11's REALLY GOOD, and at that price......

Buy it- I bought this one http://www.compacc.com/prod.cfm/cid/1201001/pid/18368 during the winter but off ebay for $100 and couldnt be more happy with it. I had a Shoei RF-900 before it and I have grown to like the KBC more than the Shoei.
The one you want:
Its on sale here http://www.compacc.com/prod.cfm/cid/1201001/pid/18942
for $99!

Stop using bandwidth and make your own decisions....BWAHAHAHAAHA!
Buy what you like, and to hell with Joe Rocket and ICON boy.
I've heard nothing but good things about KBC helmets.
I just tried on the HJC AC-12 Elbowz and even though I liked it, for $450 I'll keep my $160 HJC FS-10 thank you very much... I can live with the extra weight.

I have to agree with my wingmen. Just buy the damn thing, if you don't like it, keep it for a spare if it's as good as some of the reviews given here. You should be just fine and if not, you will have an extra helmet for date night

RE: Should i do it??
i used to have a kbc vr2 as my passenger helmet and i really liked wearing it..now i have a kbc vr2 (hitman) and it is the biggest pice of garbage..its loud and after break in fit like crap, replacment visors dont fit perfect, crafstmanship isnt the best, 1 vent is alaready broken and it 3 months old and i dont drop it bang it around or anything...i would definitly say spend the money and get a better helmet..you should check out the Akumas they have some sweet technology

RE: Should i do it??
I love my KBC. Fits great and is damn comfortable. The only thing I say is make sure it has tool-less visor swapping. My current KBC, I have to use a screwdriver to remove a plastic screw on each side, but I think that is also b/c it came with covers for the sides of the visor. Boo to that.
