I have a gsxr 600 and want to raise the rear end a little what shock could I use to raise it up. would the 750 shock do it?

Not to point out the obvious but there are Gixxer boards where people could answer this question with alot more insight.I think alot of raising the tail also has to with the frame but then again im not a mechanic

There is no reason to be like that, he was just saying, because everyone is. Theere are a few Gixxers on here that are very active.

Are you wanting to stick with a Suzuki stock shock, or would you mind a aftermarket?

Either way I just want to raise the ars end up a little. This is my first road bike and I am aware of the mechanics of things my kids race motorcross but not sure what shock would work. I could crank it down a little but not sure if that would mess with the integrity of the suspension.

Cranking your spring down is just gonna stiffin your shock and eliminate some sag. You wanna take some measurements of the shock ie. length and mounting flanges, then look for one thats a little longer. I wouldnt go more than 1-2", and make sure you use a shock made for roadbikes. Or if your feeling crafty you could fabricate a bracket to raise it. I think you willjust dive a little harder into the corners, not sure tho.
