It's not bad for the bike unless your slipping the hell outa your clutch everytime you shift. But if you get your rpm's right, you can shift up sans clutch without any problems also. This tends to be pretty smooth and a bit quicker if you get it right, but done wrong and you could be doing damage!! I wanna ride, stupid yard work... anybody wana buy a yard? CHEAP!

It wont hurt your bike, and you dont have to be at any certain RPM's to do it. You can do it no matter where you are in the RPM's. All you need to do is while you are accelerating or at a constant speed, oush up on the shift lever a little bit, let off the gas for just a second (just a little blip) and you should shift right into the next gear. Its not hard to do, but I dont do it all the time either. It really doesnt matter how you do it as long as you do it properly.

I clutch all the time. Honda put it there for me to use, (and I paid for it), so I'm using it.

I use the clutch 97% of the time. To be honest, I'm not sure why sometimes I don't use it. I was scared that it might be bad for the bike, but I read in Total Control that it's not. I guess I just find it easier to use the clutch.

Maybe next time I go out I'll try shifting without the clutch. /shrug I think we should just have paddle shifters installed on our bikes.

Gotta love the abuse a wet style clutch can handle compared to a dry clutch.
