I fear that our dear, Jules has finally lost it!
It's certainly a cultural divide, Jules...it's not that humor doesn't travel the sea very well...it's the news.
Heather Mills and Paul McCartney, I'm guessing is plastered all over the news there. You are more aware of what is going on whereas here, in the states, we are dealing with Hillary Clinton and Obama duking it out or...Paris Hilton...the waste of space that she is.
There are regional things here too....like how no one except those that come from the Philadelphia area really knows about a real cheesesteak or tastykakes or the Move disaster. Even Sylvia Seegrest was popular in my hometown...when she unloaded a few rounds into the local mall (http://www.crimelibrary.com/notoriou...ist/index.html) back in the 80's. I have a feeling that she doesn't qualify as a clinically sane woman.
