while riding home from work, a car up ahead was turning left and had to wait for traffic going the opposite way. i see the line of cars infront of me begin going around.....so i signal for the cars behind me (i feel it helps maybe get their attention to move over, rather than rear end the turning car) and i go around, after passing that car i signal to go back to the lane and off the shoulder. i glance down for literally a split second to make sure my signal was off and infront of me i see a gigantic dump truck.....yes, a f***ing dump truck crossing the double yellow lines slightly and into my lane as he was to impatient to hit his brakes and slow down for a car turning right, in his lane. he instead decided to try to go around slightly. at this point im in the left hand portion of MY lane. he goes by me and i paniced and stiffened up as if to brace for impact w/ his tires.

i'll put it this way.....he was close enough (atleast his tires) that i wouldnt have been able to extend my arm fully...it would have touched his truck/tires.

that should teach you not to pass cars making left hand turns.. remember they are waiting for other cars that are making lefties... so if your going around them you could be going into the passenger door of a turning car.

glad your alright.. a dumptruck is no way to go..

 

there was no left for the cars going the other way to take. i dont do that for the reason you're getting at.....when there's a road on the same side as me. i went around w/ a group of cars.

that show got far too political for me. stopped watching a LOOOOOOONG time ago. (my opinion) it USED to be funny, lol.

 

its gotten sooo much better, its become less political and more about current events, ie Britney Spears **** like that.. lol
