Default A sad day.

Well, November 6th was a sad day. I put my bike away for the winter. [sm=smiley35.gif]

There is no need for all of you warm climate riders to rub it in either.

Just thought I would share my sadness with the forum. [sm=smiley13.gif]

Sorry to hear that. Well hopefully it's in a place you can go out and start her up and clean her from time to time. Treat yourself to buying some new mods for her over the winter.

Neon - I'm hoping to get a fender eliminator, a rear stand and possibly a new exhaust.

I need some good boots and maybe new gloves if my old ones can't be fixed. (stitching is coming loose again!)

Unless it snows (hardly ever in GA) I ride all winter. Coldest so far was 2 days last year at 17F. It is quite exhilerating. 50 miles then stop and warm up. Repeat til ya get there.

I've found that the 1kRR handles well in the rain. Was a little bit worried before because it's some 140# lighter than my old fat Busa. But not paying attention around here will get you drenched in a heartbeat. Don't know ed-zachary where Duke is from, but I sympathize buddy -- it really sux to put your bike away.

thanks for the well wishes.

i wish i lived in a warmer climate, but so be it.

i just enjoy riding that much more when i finally get the bike back on the road again in the spring.
