I want to run 2..i have two LCD screens(one 22 and one 19inch) so i want to use both. Is the only way to this with a monitor switch box? if so are they common to find (like walmart or radio shack?) or is there an easier way to do this...Thanks guys!

If you didn't want to upgrade your video card, I would look into something called a KVM switch. Usually they are for controlling multiple computers from 1 monitor and keyboard, however there are some which are reverse in function which would allow you to connect multiple monitors to one computer. This may or may not be suitable for your means, but it wouldn't hurt looking into it.

alot of bought brand computers use the onboard video which usually sux for anything other than surfing n basic word proocessing. Needs a real video card with outputs like so:
The pic shows a vid card with two DVI ports which you can use a VGA adapter to hook to the VGA cables most monitors use.

your video card needs two ports, or you need a splicer and i dont know if all video cards support them or not. i normally see them with dell, so it may be proprietary. right click on your desktop and go to properties (xp) or personalize (vista). go to display settings and configure as necessary. this article looks like it should help.

RE: Running 2 computer monitors.
ya, but thats prolly not the video card you want to run in your computer. you can, if you really want. deciding on a video card is something you are going to need to do, but it mainly depends on what you want/can spend. didnt you just get a new computer? what kind was it; make/model?
as for the config, you go to personalize, then display settings. its pretty much the same as the xp config screen from there. if not, here:
