Rule number 7 Commitment. Once committed to action do not deviate from it. There are certain exceptions to this rule, but we're going to deal with it here in its basic form once you have committed yourself to an action carry through hesitation or apprehension can and will get you killed or give the appearance of weakness or indecision. Not the way to instill confidence in others

Back in ROTC we used to define Integrity as "Doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking" I always thought that ilustration was incomplete. It took me a while to put into words what myconciense was telling me, but I finally came up with my definition of integrity:

Doing the right thing, for no other reason, other thanthan itbeing the right thing to do.

 

Thanks HC ! Your timing is perfect. I really needed to read this now. I struggle daily with life. The challenge is to balance sleep-deprivation with school and full-time work with part-time parenting. Add to this liabilities exceeding assets and you get the picture.
I have learned many things since joining this forum, some of which have been about the Cross-Beam Racer. First ; it was to take responsibility for my actions. Second ; it was to love someone enough to let her go. Third ; it was to be open and honest about my life, warts and all. Now I find I learn how to control my emotions and not let them rule my life. I am attempting to acheive harmony amidst the chaos.
