I invested in some tecnic sport saddle bags for the long rides. I can stand a back pack, but only for so long.

Ya I have been carrying concealed for a long time. Got in the habit when I delivered pizza in Metro Atlanta.

Zip-ties as previous mentioned also fit under the seat and useful for many things.

Get a honda tool kit, it has everything you need to take the bike apart..literally.

This is one many don't think about, a board or crushed soda can to put under kick stand if you have to park in grass. I have a 1x6 cut to fit in trunk

 

a wrench for adjusting the chain, a allen key for the fairings. stuff to clean your visor. Rain gear. I dunno I pack light. 200 miles isn't that far
