To me it means the bike is howling somewhere in the double-digit RPM's, low gear- looking 100 feet ahead of you with your *** hanging halfway off the bike...
Since I've never had the chance to hit a track (yet), empty, curvy roads through the country or our parkway is as good as it gets.

your limit or the bike's limit? lol...someone riders do 70 on the freeways and thats their limit..do you consider that as riding hard?
