Default Riding etiquette???

So Im riding Highway 98 the other day (Northwest florida riders know that hell) and some jerk in a heavy duty Chevy silverado looks at me (Im riding in traffic right next to his window- NOT in blind spot).

He then begins to pull into my lane and just keeps going-

I slame on the brakes and honk and nearly avoid the laydown- I pass and slowly watch him but HEAVY traffic makes it nearly impossible to lose him- we go back and forth with who has the lead. Fo thenext 10 minutes he is next to me but refuses to look at me- he just watches me thru his rear view mirror.

The question:

What do you all do with such idiots like this- he cant say "I didnt see you". HE LOOKED AT ME AND CAME IN AND KEPT LOOKING AT ME!!!

I wanted to take off the helmet at one red light and start screaming at him!

Help-

Just forget about it. Any altercation isn't worth trying to make him understand. It's like trying to change someone's mind on the internet.

Fairly common problem here - primarily with mini-bus taxi drivers.....some of the less responsible among us have taken to carrying marble-sized ball bearings to throw over a shoulder.........It's amazing that drivers can look right at you and yet will claim that "they didn't see you" - what dream world are they living in ? I don't condone these actions by a few guys, but apparently it's quite effective.

The best thing to do IMO is to try to forget it. If you start riding with aggression, you can put yourself and others in danger. In the future I would do what ever it takes to put as much distance between you and an aggressive driver as possible. There should be no reason why you cannot either slow down to watch his moves or get as far ahead of him as possible. I know you stated you were in heavy traffic, so the best choice would be to slow down and get a few vehicles between yourself and this guy. I myself would get through traffic, lane splitting is illegal here but I have used it in these situations to get myself away from danger.

Vehicle vs Motorcyclein road rage will always end up with the motorcycle losing!

Punch a dent in his fender. If he gets out the car, shoot him. Get your gun permit.

Put a hex on him. I did it to my neighbor and he got a blood disease that left him with a limp.
