Default Riding boots in public?

Got a question for everybody. What kinda boots do you ride with, if say your going to go out in the town and what not. Like going to to dinner and all that?

Or do you just sport like your Moto GP looking boots?

If I ride, I wear my Sidi's. Had too many close calls to wear anything else. But my Sidi's are more comfortable than my tennis shoes so lol I dont mind wearing them anywhere.

If im going to dinner or a movie - i usually wear my field icon boots, if it's something like a bar or place i might be dancing then i like wearing my tennis shoes/dress shoes.
no better feeling then wearing some nice protection on your feet tho, plus tennis shoes get really beat up fast (i have a few holes in mine).

if your gonna purchase some, it's going to take some getting used to (they are usually thicker, which is hard to shiftand heavy which makes you think your on the rear brake 24/7)- but it's well worth it IMO.

I've got a pair of riding boots that are real leather. I wear them all the time, awesome to ride in and go with everything you could possibly wear.

Comfortable, safe boots don't have to look like track boots! You generally don't push it hard enough on your way to an evening dinner to warrant wearing track boots that look goofy with your street clothes.

Good point.

I actually did adjust my shifter for my boots. Effortless shifting with those things, great with clutchless upshifting the 929...

Man, I'm getting itchy - must... ride... !

I wear Rossi boots (Rossiter, Aussie company), which look good with the jeans over the top, even though the boots finish about 4 inches below the knee. I have a pair of Rossi ankle boots for casual wear anyway & most of the time I can't feel the difference. Both comfortable for walking round in.

Alpinestar Stroke come up just over the ankle, and look like a typical shoe so go with jeans quite well. A little bit of safety and comfortable for everyday riding.

wait, you extended your shifter peg? with my field icon boots i seriously have my left foot like a penguin just to be able to get my boot underneath the shifter.. i've only used them for about 5 days - just like any other piece of protection you put on, it takes alittle time to cope with.

my boots anyways match my street wear (blue jeans or my icon superduty camo's haha)
