Request - MODS please read
So i am an idiot and didn't see that we were getting new software...now i have and see it's the new vbulletin...great, i have used that before and it's quality stuff...
i would however l.i.k.e. to post things about this site that i would hope carryover and which i currently know isn't supported at vbulletin in the hopes in might be implemented...
maybe we can keep this thread up with things we enjoy or are unique about the site to make sure they get into the new version...
i'll begin...
i rely on the email function almost entirely to keep up with the site...i get instant emails whenever a new topic is made in a forum category...right now, vbulletin only lets you get instant emails for subscribed threads and you can only get a daily email on a forum category...PLEASE bring this to the new version of the site

that i know...what it doesn't do is allow you to subscribe to a topic and get instant email updates when a new post is made in the topic...rather you get DAILY emails as a digest letting you know what posts were made in a topic...
here...i get an instant email if someone makes a new post in a topic i subscribed to

What subscription modes are available? There are a number of different forum subscription modes available. [ul][*]No Email Notification - lists the subscription in your User CP only. You do not receive any notifications about new posts or threads in the forum.[*]Daily Email Notification - sends one email a day with the new and updated threads in the forum and any sub-forums. If there are no new or updated threads in the forum or its sub-forums then you will not receive an email.[*]Weekly Email Notification - sends one email per week in the same way as the Daily Email Notification.[/ul] Thread Subscriptions have the same options as forum subscriptions with the following additional option: [ul][*]Instant Email Notification - sends an email as soon as a new post is added to the thread. This is not sent for every reply and will only be sent once until you revisit the forums.[/ul]
