Default Reptile Critters

This is pretty random..

Here's the deal.. I'm in an apt. We aren't allowed to have cats or dogs here and fish suck. Have had all sorts of pets in my day: hedgehog, rats, guinea pig, bunny, cats, dogs, iguana, leopard gecko, various other reptiles.. Love going to some exotic pet shows if I get the chance.

My bf and I are interested in getting some sort of reptile creature. I think he was on the turtle/tortoise page and I have always thought chameleons are super cool.. last time I went to an exotic pet show the black and white argentine tegus caught my eye. We have been looking at care information and some youtube videos.. but I figured I'd ask you guys. What kinda reptile pets do you have at home? Tell me about them. Any advice?

yep, i've got 2 leopard geckos. not a lot of 'interaction' as pets go, but about as low maintenance as it gets.

Yeah, I was hoping for something a little more rewarding than that... something new and more exotic. The internet reptile elitests are like.. you have to have a 98734million square ft habitat for it. Seems high maintenance. Maybe over the winter we could build a screen/wire environment for it and search ebay for some cool waterfall stuff..

They're cool, I love them- have had various snakes and lizards over the years- but they'll never be snuggly pets, so keep that in mind.
