glad to hear you're alive and kicking!

thats one thing i know i do wrong at traffic lights and stops....i put my bike in neutral. now, i do flash my brake light as im slowing and while stopped....but i have a tendency to put it in neutral [:-]. posts like this make me realize i need to change that habit!

well, i hope they dont total the bike. keep your hopes up and let us know what happens. sometimes the other parties insurance can draaaaaaaaaaaaaag out the claims [:@]

/\/\ I used to do the same, and still do on occasion, but I always have my eyes glued to my mirrors watching traffic stop behind me. I won't put her in N until two cars have stopped behind me. Glad to hear you're ok.

FWIW I developed a habit a couple of years ago to pull to a stop light at a bit of an angle. Makes my profile bigger to those behind/in front of me and I can see the entire US out of my mirror.

There may be some debate to this, but my policy is I'm never in nuetral until I'm stopped. I always downshift and prolly pull in the clutch about 5 feet before I'm stopped.

I/we don't have the luxury of clinging on to the steering wheel when we see something coming at us, you never know when you're going to need to get the **** outta there.

Sorry again man, glad yer good.

Once again, you're ok, and that's what's important. Unfortunately, we all have to assume that things like this are going to happen from time to time. That doesn't make it suck any less, though.

glad to hear your ok man. on the plus side, you should get a lot of insurance money for pain and suffering for having to ride a gixxer.
