Default RAGE!! I have a theft problem!

As some of you may know, I'm still a senior in high school. I am currently doing two sports in the same season: baseball and track/field. With that being said, I usually stay really late at practice with a lot of my stuff unattended, but locked up in the locker rooms. Last week, the ONLY time I had ever carried money with me (to pay for Senior Activity Fees) I got $100+ stolen from the pocket of my jeans while I was at track practice. Now, all of my stuff was locked up in my locker but when I got back my **** was all over the floor. For some reason, they didn't steal my phone though...I guess they thought it would get tracked. I notified the school authorities, but they said they couldn't do anything about it -_- A couple days later, three guys got arrested for stealing stuff from the locker rooms. I don't know how they got caught, but they did. I thought I would get my money back, but NOPE nothing happened. Now this was all last week and I thought the stealing would stop. But today, one of my teammates, got $50 stolen from his wallet! and someone stole from me AGAIN! but like I said earlier, I rarely ever have money on me (I keep my wallet in my truck) so I lost only $5 this time left over from Carl's Jr. So apparently, the three arrests last week didn't do anything and there are still people taking advantage of athletes at practice. Since the school refuses to do anything, my friend and I want to take things into our own hands. Any suggestions on what we should do? Supposedly having a camera is illegal but I thought maybe I could set up some kind of spy cam. I mean...I'm not gay so I don't have any intention of filming guys changing, but..at the moment it's the only thing I could think of. Help please?

Oh ya and my baseball team got two first base gloves jacked as well. Pretty random, but those were $300.

TLDR: people are stealing $$ from the locker rooms while athletes are at practice. administration refuses to do anything. Need some suggestions on how to catch them..

get a better lock for your locker... i remember when i used to play baseball in HS (played for a different HS than i went to cause my school didnt have a team), the school was sort of a rough place. Kids would go around looking for any lock that didnt have a MASTER lock because they knew they couldnt break them. But if it wasnt a MASTER lock then they would take their shoe/boot/baseball bat and break off the lock at steal anything of value inside.

Besides that just try and make sure you dont have anything valuable in your locker

You realize if you set up a spy cam you will probably get suspended. Cameras in locker rooms not a good idea. What I would do is skip practice and catch someone in the act or have a friend who isn't playing hide and wait.

^ +1 that. get some kid to hide in there during practice. maybe a job for freshman, just have all the freshmen team take turns hiding in the locker room every day. also keep it secrete so you can actually catch them, not just scare them off.

^^ lol at that last one but seriously. Pay somebody like $20 bucks to stand guard until the day the thieves come back. It will be worth it for sure. So, since there is no doubt that you will be catching them if you go about it the right way the question is what you should do with them once they are caught. Now, the possibilities and ramifications of that can be vast....

And the hidden cam thing is such a bad idea in a locker room. It's not legal in a locker room/bathroom/changing room, and it can land you in jail and have to register as a sexual offender.

My school is really small and the locker room where I got jacked from is a special room reserved for varsity players so it's a fairly small room. So I don't know where anyone would be able to hide. My friends and I actually tried looking for a spot to hide today, but there aren't any good places. We thought maybe we could get a really small guy to fit and hide in the lockers or something LOL but it didn't really work out. As for the cam, ya I thought so, but it was the only thing I could think of since the most anyone ever strips down to are boxers (our school doesn't have showers). As for guarding outside, there is only 1 entrance/exit and if someone is randomly standing outside, I don't think the thieves would even attempt it. And I don't want to just prevent future thefts, I want to CATCH them!
