Just got a new chain and sprocket kit and the closest dealership that isn't 50 miles away wants to charge me $160 to put it on. Claiming it will take at least 2 hours. I called them out on their BS and hung up on them. I need a chain rivet since its a rivet type and was lookin on cheapbay and fount this. IDK. Freaken name brand tools I fount are costing like $100. Don't really have that kinda money as a college bum.

IMO if your not going to use it on a daily basis (like a technician would) go for it. For the few times you will use it, i would think it will be just fine.

$30 bucks for the breaker and 16 for the press.

Or just take the chain down and have them remove the links and just use a master link.

Shop around. A local dealer charged my $80 each off the bike.

I would do both. If one is bad the other is not to far behind and Im sure there would be a difference in stiffness.

I do them myself... both chains and fork seals. Only cost the parts and materials. I have a chain break kit and all the hand tools plus air tools to do the job.
Learn how to do it yourself and save a ton of money in the long run.
