I installed only one HID for my low beam - I like to flash my high beam at my friends and **** all the time, which is not good for the HID ballast, not to mention the warm-up period they have.

The kit I bought was for lows only but it works. Got to love HIDs.

Yep. High beams on during the day, lows at night. HID's take less power to run than regular halogen bulbs, but they do take a significant chunk of power right at startup. So I recommend starting the bike with only the low beam, then flip the highs on a few seconds later. I personally have never had a problem starting up with both, but supposedly others have.

And I modified my headlamp situation, and installed a switch between the low beam power so I could have control over it. I wanted the ability to turn off the low beam when I pulled up and simply wanted parking lights instead of glaring HID's lighting up the whole neighborhood at night. Not to mention, I only have the high beam on during the day, and the low beam at night, so it doesn't cut down the lifespan of the low beam always being on Food for thought.
