My favorite...

 

Actually I'm not sure which is the 'head of the family'. Both are among the 14 oldest, "least removed from wolf" dog breeds. I'd have gotten an Akita instead of a Shiba but Akitas are capable of getting huge. And honestly, the Akitas are more velcro than the Shibas. They need to be around their owners a lot more. Kai is very affectionate when he wants to be. But he's also fully capable of wandering off into another part of the apartment and gnawing on a bully stick for an hour. And they're all capable of a scream like that. Whether they use it is another story. Like I said, we've only heard it once since getting Kai. And that was only during 1 out of 2 baths.

He fits our lifestyle, home and my personality. My girlfriend's notsomuch but Kai is slowly training her to our mindset

Our pup is a 2.5 year old Mastiff/Pit Bull/Boxer mix.

Her father was a mix between an APBT and and English Mastiff, and her mother was a Pit Bull and a boxer mix. She is 2 and a half and close to 100 pounds. We have an 8 acres property, set back in the woods up in the Poconos. She gets free roam. She actually stay right around the house. Hasn't run off at all.....yet, lol. She is smart, yet spiteful.
