Actually there's a bit of discussion on another forum bout a similar outcome between an 08 CBR1000rr and a s1000rr Raced a CBR1000RR yesterday.. and - BMW S1000RR Forums: BMW Sportbike Forum

Those that are honest will readily admit Hondas are no joke. Fast as hell and twice as reliable. Excepting the Ducati Panigale of course... Hondas are 4x as reliable

Haha nice! funny thing is after we got done playing he said he's gotta trade it in for an s1000rr so he can keep up lol he was joking, I told him its more rider than the bike he's only had it for 2000 miles, ive had mine for 4 years so I'm a little more intimate with it. We have our friendly comp's but don't really care who's faster we just like to ride, he's always wanted that pinigale since he saw it at the Chicago cycle show, more of a status thing, I've ridden it and I have to say besides for the *** and leg burning from the exhaust it's an amazing piece of machine art

i love when the under dog wins....the look on there face itself is pricless..lol also reminds of when my friend bought his HP4 and was trash talking to another friend with a stock busa.. well lets just say that my friend with the hp4 had a nice slice of humble pie and he still wasent convinced they went at it 6 times up untill top speed((or close)) and wasent even close to the busa.. how dumb he felt...

Think you're thinking of the MV Agusta.
