Question Price check for a friend

My friend wants to look at this bike tomorrow and im wondering what yall think. Ive had a f2 before so i know what and where to look maintance wise. I did KBB with his mods an it came out to $2016 in excellet condition. Im thinking if the chain/sprockets, CCT, and brakes need to be replaced i can get him down to around 1800 maybe. What do yall think?

94 Honda CBR600F2

Ps i posted it here rather than the F2 section cause this is viewed much more and id like inputs soon. thanks

I would question the "Custom Body", F3 plastics, that are on it. Looking at in the picture I wouldn't go over $1,500, but seeing it in person might change my mind.

yeah, that pretty much always means, "I wrecked this bike and had to replace the plastics."

I would maybe do 2000 if every thing was in perfect condition and he was a nice/good guy.

I paid 2100 for my 97 F3 with 21k on it. From a DEALER. Way too much IMHO.

F2-F3 are great starter bikes, But I would not buy the first thing you find. Shop around see whats out there. That one does seem over priced for the year and miles on the bike. Its prime time to ride so you won't find many cheap deals as if you bought one out of season. Best thing to do is find a few bikes in your price range and check them all out take time to look them over really well, also ask a few questions like has the bike been layed down, rebuilt or wrecked. See whats the lowest amount they will go, etc. There is a few good threads around in here with stuff to look for when purchasing a used cycle.

Fenatic is a well-known forum member - note he mentioned he was shopping for his friend.

Chris - I wouldn't pay more than about 1750 for that bike - and I swear I saw it on the West Monroe craigslist just 6-8 months ago - could be wrong there. You know what you're looking at - if the CCT is making noise, talk them down some more. Does 2nd gear pop out, etc...

I didn't mean him in general, just whoever is inspecting/viewing the bike should look for the common issues. Sorry if I made it sound noobish.
