Default Possible stolen bikes?

I was wondering around craigslist and found a few bikes under the Ticket section. Thats not a normal place to sell a bike. But the prices for these things are amazing. Just take a look. It makes me wonder if they are stolen?

Contact the seller and tell him that you're are very interested and that you want to look the bike over in person. When he replies that it is stored in some warehouse out of state and that he will have it shipped to you upon receipt of your money and that you will have 3 days to decide if you want to keep it or not you'll know it was just a scam.

I see these types of things occasionally on Craigslist. If I'm bored I'll play along with it for a few days as I eagerly wait to see what excuse he comes up with next for him not being able to show me the bike before I buy it.

Keep us posted on how things progress.

In my case the guy said it was stored in a warehouse in Chicago, about 300 miles from where I live. I offered to drive up there and meet him to look it over. He said he was traveling and could not meet me but he assured me that I would have 3 days to look the bike over once he had it shipped to me after I'd mailed him the money.

After a few more exchanges he stopped replying after it became apparent that I would not be sending him any money without first seeing the bike in person. I sent him one final email and thanked him for the week's worth of entertainment.
