+1 on the gear all the time.... you never know when or where something can happen

I'm sorry to hear about your bro, but at least he's still with us and sounds like he's gonna be alright so that's good news. Glad to hear he was wearing a lid (and hopefully other gear too). My prayers are with him for a speedy and full recovery!

I was out riding today and came across a rider on an R6 that had just crashed, oddly enough in the very same curve I went down in 2 months ago. Luckily he had full leathers on and a good lid and gloves, and didn't have a scratch on him. Bike wasn't so lucky though... it slid into a cement drainage tube front wheel first, and half the wheel was missing.. literally, and forks bent back and tire rubbing against fairing. He was lucky though... gear works!

I will be praying for your brother!

+ 1 on the good lid. Mine saved my butt exactly 1 month ago. That and my jacket. Tell your brother to keep his chin up and be positive, he will be up and about in no time. And he has all of us praying for him.

I am so glad to hear he is OK. My husband just got into a hit and run with no helmet. Thank god he is OK too. Ever since the accident (2 weeks ago) he has continuously worn his helmet. I hope it last. Nothing is worse than that call I been in an accident.
