I'm not from North Carolina but i used to live there for 6 years. You just classified everyone who lives in that state as racist. Racisim in not based on what region of the country you are from, there are racist people everywhere. I hate people who say its ok to be racist, prejudice, or profile someone just because they are from the "South." Just a bunch of retarded ignorant people.

I know what volcomrr is saying. Ever since Katrina my town is becoming "black". What I have found is that there are more blacks openly racist. I've never seen any white person here be openly racist to a black person but I have PERSONALLY had racist comments directed to myself from a black person. Irony eh? It's their culture I do not like. They seem to show no respect.

a lot of whites dont like blacks here and a lot of blacks dont like whites.... im not prejudice at all, but a lot of guys are country southern boys here and they will tell you that they simply dont like blacks just because of their color
and i agree with nauree, in my opinion, a lot of them dont show any respect towards others or themselves

since we're there......racism is everywhere, and I don't think its acceptable from either pov. whiteboy should not be socially acceptable, but it is........reagardless of our educated pov which understands that racism shouldn't be acceptable to any race, there are racists out there, and that's just hte way it is.

The guy told a story that happend to him and used the word "black Lady" sooooooo what and half the people acted like he used a slur but it would of been ok if he called her "skanky bitch" in place of the formentioned huh!

PC has nothing to do with it. Never accused him of anything, asked a simple question and he answered it and I accept his answer. I don't know volcomrr and would never judge anyone based on one sentence on some forum as there's no way to determine what's in someones heart that way. The ONLY reason I asked was to see if there was some part of the story I was missing. I would've asked the same thing if he had told some story of something negative happening to him and he said the offender was white, latino or any other ... you see where I'm going with that? If you tell a story of a negative experience and throw in a description I just wanted to know if TO HIM the two are related or if it was simply a description and not related to the negative experience. He said it was the latter and I take him at his word on that .. let it go.

Why is it the case that nearly always the whites are asked or questioned about their racist view??
As in the US we here in Aus suffer the same sort of issues with out aboriginals (blacks)
We are constantly bombarded with the " you are racist white barsteds " rave ...every time this topic arises anywhere .
The thing is ....that more often than not it is the dark people that sling the most **** first here and from what I know of the states , their too.
I am sick of the racist thing and tired of the whole whining issue ...
The blacks here, if they are to taken as equal, should be bagged for way more racist attitude toward the whites ..
Just because we are white does not make us racists.
I know many many tollerant whites... but I am yet to run into or deal with ANY black that does not hold a grudge or feel deep down that they are somehow down trodden and looked down on ... by us.
If we are to move on , should ALL peoples let the issue go and let it go ..??
The blacks here in Aus are NEVER going to do that I am affraid..
I truley think that the blacks are more guilty of racisum towards us than most if not all whites ..
I wish I could just go with Jules and just let it go ...
