Pinks: All Out

Pinks: All Out
This weekend they were filming Pinks: All Out, the show on Speed, here at our local track in San Antonio. Napa is their big sponsor and my dad happens to be one of the more important people in Napa around these parts, so naturally I got to go VIP access and all. So we went to check it out Saturday and man was it a blast. Got to stand in the staging area for the whole day, we got to go anywhere we wanted as a matter of fact. I got some quick pics off of my phone, but I have some better ones I can post after I get them off my dads camera. The show won't air until June or July.
This competition was one of the ones where they give away $10,000 to the winner, not the heads up pink slip races.
These were the two final cars in the competition. Last race is best of 3, each racer took one of the first too, and the last one was too close to call. They actually had to go to video to determine the Camaro took it, despite the track sensors showing the Nova won. They said he staged too far and set off the sensor.
Behind the Nova watching an S10 and a 280z duke it out. The 280z won.
This '84 Mustang is owned by our mechanics son. The guy also had a funny car they race every weekend and owns the Napa store and auto care center where we have our big stuff done to cars. Good friends of ours. His son, got into the cluster of 16 and made it to the second round only to be eliminated by a Camaro who blew its tranny all over the track the race before last. The boxes on the ground are the cameras they wire in the 16 cars.
This is a picture of the jet car they had running. It wasn't too fast, only about 260MPH, lol. We had to step back a bit for this one.
The car in the left lane ran two 6.8s at 204 and 205MPH.

RE: Pinks: All Out
That wasn't a tank slapper, that was a highside.
They race for pink slips on, "Heads Up." On, "All Out" they race for cash and can bet between rounds with the final winner gets $10K cash.
On a side note - the last time I watched, "Heads Up" these two fairies on Busas didn't want to give up their bikes so they both went halvsies and bought a spanking new GSXR1000. The winner got to keep it...
How friggin' lame.

RE: Pinks: All Out
Yeah but I like seeing people lose their rides... that's awesome!
Just for clarification, I'm not calling those two fairies fairies simply because they were riding Zuks. They were fairies because they were whining like girls and didn't even have to stones to put their money where their whiney mouths were. They were both yapping about being badasses and neither wanted to risk their bike for it...
Yet they wanted to be on Pinks - makes no sense.
Fairies.
