Default pc help from u bikers

im pretty good with pc`s. ran into something new today. pressed power and the pc would not pass the mobo first menu.just showed the asus pic. after a few restarts it finaly got passed it and started. idk if the mobo failing or a other part fainling that wont let it start. or maybe need to reset cmos. idk

Myself, I'd say it was software related, but as with the infernal combustion engine, could be anything....................

I did a little IT work before my current job and that sounds a lot like either a pending hard drive issue or possibly a mobo issue, I have had pcs do the same thing and it was a bad sata port on the board.

Ususally there is an error on both of those though. I would just see how it rolls and hopefully it was a fluke.

hmmm, hard to tell what it is. have you installed any new hardware lately? i would check everything to make sure it is seated properly. can you get in to safe mode? it could possibly be a failing hard drive among other things.

no just happend out of nowhere. idk wat it is. i dont want it to fail before i know wats wrong so i can replace it. no no safe mode it fails way b4 u get to any OS. like u push power and 1 sec later frozen...

BIOS update would not be a bad idea.

You can probably turn off the ASUS logo in the setup/BIOS.
