Overheard at the dealership
I was at the dealership today, and overheard one of the salesman talking to someone about a customer. Guy came in and bought a sport bike (didn't hear what), and after taking the keys, tried to do a burnout. Ended up launching the bike and landing on his back.
Salesman: "Are you alright? What were you doing?"
Guy: "I was trying to do a burnout to get the tires nice and sticky."
Salesman: "Oh, those tires are plenty sticky."
Guy: "I can see that now."

at the dealership here, two guys came in and bought brand new bikes in cash, made a pick ticket, and had em all modded out with no miles on them. somehow, before leaving the parkinglot both of them were dumped. one guy launched into the guardrail, the other dropped his turning through the lot. i heard the one that hit the guardrail was a total loss. point of the story, money doesnt mean skills.
Thats gotta be the ****tiest feeling ever. Recking a brand new bike out of the damned dealer lot.
For anyone who works/worked at a dealer: can you always tell which guys/girls are gonna lose it? I'm assuming you probably could.

I don't think you can tell someone's experience by looking at them off the bike, though if you really got to talking to them and saw them messing w/ the controls you may see their inexperience or stupidity before a crash.
