if i had to guess it some moron who thinks he better than the next person just becouse he knows a little more so he calles them a squid it just happends to be someone on a bike. its like noob where noob came from we will never know.

From my understanding, it's like TheX said, squirlly kid. Next thing you know - as all Americans, we're obsessed with acronyms... and I don't know why.

It's a fitting term when used appropriately, however it's quite annoying when you see the term being tossed around, and the people doing the tossing haven't even put 1K miles on a bike like they're some authority. Get real and knock that shiite off.

Actually, I got a couple of boys with CBR's and we toss the word around like nerds. Like my buddy will get a hot plate from the microwave and burn his hand, I say, "squid."

We're nerds, though. I don't recommend emulating me/us.
