pulled me and my buddy over today just so he could ticket us, since he has it out for sport bikes. we were just taking off from a stop light and going under the over pass and he pulls us over.. he gave me a ticket for no inspection(which is my fault in a sense, since the plate i had it on fell off, and i havent got a new sticker yet) and improper lane change b/c he said i have to use my blinker and hand signal.. WTF i used my blinker and he even said i saw you use the blinker but you hand signaled late... and thats fawkin horse ****!!

this cop pulled a random guy off his bike who was sitting in a parking spot tlakin to ppl and arrested him b/c he thought it was some other guy who made an illegal u-turn and tried to hide in the group of bikes... the guy who ran was white.. the guy he arrested was black, and had been sitting there for 15-20mins b4 the other guy even rode up... he should be looking out for harleys in that area since they are all drunk and no helmets or nothin...

i feel yah man... some cops.... are just a holes.... he musta not gottin laid that day so he was out to get back at the world of sport bike riders.....

 

HA he must never get laid b/c he partrols a mile stretch of a main road, he will pull over EVERY sport bike, 1-2mph and he would proablly put you in handcuffs.. this guy is a dick! and he got super pissed when my friend started filming him harassing the black guy who got arrested for no reason... he can get pissed all he wants, freedom of press and that was evidence since the cop would bs his way outta getting in trouble with his supervisor

 

I have been duty stationed in Texas. Never ever used a hand signal and was never stopped for this BS didn't even know they still required it their I was given a ticket for an improper lane change, for passing whilein aintersection one time but never heard anything about hand signal

 

ya its ridiculous! im deffinately not going to pay the tickets, ill get a new inspection sticker tomorrow, and ill just go to court for the lane change one, b/c the cop basically told me i need to signal with the blinker and then with my hand.. ill just say i want to be in control of the bike and keep both hands on the bars, and that taking a hand off to signal could have caused a wreck if i hit a bump and got a tank slapper. even my mom said it was BS and she freaks out when i go out riding since i got arrested for a wheelie couple weeks ago... wooops

 

yah that will prob work in court, a lot of judges are pretty relaxed if you seem to be sincere. but damn that cop really just sits in the same spot huh... if it was an oakland cop hed prob be shoot if he treats people like that and always is in the same mile strecht of road lol.

 

Profileing is against the law... the right liar.... lawyer would have a field day with this guy. Just sayin.

 

I'm pretty sure you dont in Texas. I never use my hands and have only seen one squid cuase is rear blinkers werent on.


Now I've been pulled over in my cage cuase a cop said I did 3 lane switches without using my turn signals. I always use my signals, but of course the one time I dont I get pulled over. No ticket, but the guy was a douche. "Sir, do you want me to give you a ticket". Come on, he deserves a smart *** comment after that. Nobody uses their signals.

 

I got busted in my car on Saturday.... cop said he stopped me for: speeding, exhibition of speed, illegal turns, turning without a signal, and noise violations. only problem was I was going straight doing 40 in a 50, and when I did turn, I signaled, since I saw the cop behind me (and I picked up the habit of using the blinkers AND my hand from the bike. ...i notice from time to time i'll signal with my hand if my window is open...). He asked for my DL and my proof of insurance, then asked me to pop the hood. He finds nothing but an after market fuel pressure regulator. He then proceedes to run my plates. 30 minutes later, he returns with a ticket for no front plate, tinted tails, non-amber front turn signals (these I know are my fault...), and an illegal fuel pump. Never wrote me up for anything he said I did...and...the kicker is...cop didn't know whats what under the hood. I got cited for an illegal fuel pump...but my fuel pump is stock, and located under the car. Sadly, he patrols my neighborhood. I can't stand these young idiot cops who are out to save the world...one useless ticket at a time.

ha ya he profiles, and he has multiple complaintsagainst himand other cops who our group is cool with even says he is an ******* and has it out for bikers.

i use hand signals if its slow traffic in the day time and i just want to change a lane since im sure ppl cant see my blinker.
but still its BS that he said i have to do Both! i know one day he is going to harass the wrong person and get "taught a lesson" in some shape or form...
