Default Old hi fi receivers

Anyone else into the older hi-fi stuff? I have a love for the old heavy silver faced Pioneer, Marantz, Sansui, Nikko etc... I'm always buying and trading off stuff. Just was curious if anyone else in here plays around with the old heavy receivers.

I would like to find a nice tube amp. I hear people raving about them but I've never had a chance to listen to one.

what model pioneer is it? The pioneers tend to be some of my favorites.

Yes, tube amps definately produce a far more "real" sound. But these days, the newer tube equipment is far too pricey, and for that matter, the old equpiment is barely within reach.

Sorry, no.

But I couldn't help to ask... you rocking a 442? What year? My grandma, RIP, had the sweetest cherry 442. Don't remember the year but she had a Thrust horn with all the cool sounds. She was a hip lady!

We need pictures!

Just went out to the garage to take a look. The receiver is a SX-1250 and the tape deck (yes tape lol) is a CT-F9191
