I'm stubborn. Yet another try.

Net neutrality is the concept that all web sites are given equal download speed. Those opposed to it want a system that makes site owners pay a premium for their site to load quickly.

If you sell bike parts on line, and don't hand over the shekels your site will load slowly, causing customers to say, "To heck with it," and try another site.

Hand over enough shekels and your site loads quickly, giving you better access to customers. Net neutrality also has implications for free interchange of ideas, opinions, and news. Seldom do those who blog have enough budget to buy fast service.

It would also affect sites l.i.k.e CBRForum.com, as they would have to pay a premium for faster service. IIRC Republicans in general oppose netneutrality, Democrats support it. Could be wrong on that, though.

Last I heard they were also wanting 2 different internets. 1 would be for business and such and would be lightning fast ( the new system) and the other would be what we have now and just for us common folk or peasants I guess you could call us...
