I'm still trying to figure out how that thing clogged up the terlet. Is it one of those old 80s water saver toilets? The newer ones suck down everything in sight when they flush. (the commercials don't lie) There has to be something else going on. Plus, even if the tp got stuck on the stylus the tp would break down and shred apart during the plunge process.

If you do wind up taking the thing of the base get a ring from Home Depot that has a rubber seal with gasket. I don't know the name, but the gasket goes down in the pipe and it doesn't allow anything to come out the sides plus there is no wax mess and it will work with about any floor. IIRC I paid about $10 for the one I bought.

 

Get the fishing rod out and tie on a crank bait with several treble hooks. Cast it in and flush. Problem solved!

 

Ok so late breaking news in the toilet scandel. I got home and my dad was outside watering the lawn and after going inside and changing I went outside and said "so did mom tell you I broke the toilet?" He looked at me and started laughing and said "yea, she said you dropped a stylus in the toilet and then you didn't feel good so you locked yourself out of the house?!" I just bust out laughing and explained the morning to him and he was just cracking up. His response was "I wanted to replace the toilets anyway, this just gives me an excuse to do it now." LOL

I need to break things more often and worry about it all day because I don't get in trouble then! hahahahaha


Ahhhhhhh today ended up ok in the end, I'm glad. Thanks for comin along for the ride! lol

whew! im light headed, that was some of the funniest **** (no pun intended) ive heard in a long time! I'm glad it worked out in the end[8D]

 

Hopefully your Dad can retrieve your stylus for you and you can have two agian

 

GET THE STYLUS! Don't let it go further down the drain. I had a clog near the end of my house and when I flushed, the "mess" came out of a breather pipe in the downstairs laundry room. Oh, the humanity!

I have tried to block that moment out of my memory and I was almost successful... until this thread. Thanks a lot!
