A couple weeks ago, I posted up that crappy picture of the new 2009 Ram. I thought it was alright until I saw these pictures. Supposedly, these pics were leaked from a press pack that wasn't supposed to be released until Chrysler unveils it this Sunday at the North American Auto Show. Either way, all I can say is WOW!!!!! Dodge is back in my books for sure. (only if they would put as much effort into their small cars, they would be much better off.)

WOW is right! The front end looks 100% better than the older ones, in my opinion. The one thing I do not like on the truck is the side compartment, on the sides of the bed. The idea seemed alright I guess, but the lines look disgusting to me. Maybe its a personal thing, but I like my bed to be nice and flush. Other than that, nice truck!

 

No one actually "uses" their beds anymore........where have you been for the last couple of years PlayfulGod!

And the side-bed compartments are an option. Not really eye-candy, but a very nifty idea though........I could see that coming in handy.

 

If I had a p/u I would use the bed lol. The compartments is a nifty iddy, just looks odd lol.

 

I was just thinking, how useful would this be at a track for a track day. Keep your helmet, gloves, boots, misc. tools, etc, etc. in the bed compartments. I could really see myself using them for track days and stuff like that.

 

I'm not tryin to be a hater... but gas prices ain't getting any lower and if you seriously don't intend to use it the truck to haul things around ... why not just keep some pics of the truck to drool over and get a car that brings home 30 MPG and tow your bike?

 

That truck is awesome. I like the side compartments, and the factory dual exhaust. Ten times better than the old model.

 

+1, in these days where Im paying over 3 bucks a gallon for gas, another gas guzzler is the last thing we need on the road, driven be people who use maybe 5% of that trucks true capabilities to begin with. Trucks need to be made less comfortable and carlike and more primitive nad crude, keeping the damn soccers moms and wanna-be manly men from buying them.

 

That is a nice lookin truck. I like those side compartments. I'm rockin an '05 Ford Ranger and the thing is barely getting 15 mpg. It's probably more like 13. Horrible for a new compact truck. I dont understand how its so bad. I got better mileage with the V8 in my Lincoln LS. I plan on keeping the Ranger for life basically, it should last many years. No more gas guzzlers for me though.
