Guy could have been jacking purses using the rest of the protest as cover
He was carying several bags on him.
Maybe the cops saw him, and decided to stop him
for something that had nothing to do with the protest

We just don't know, and are too quick tocop the "FTP" attitude
Even if that IS true, that is not how NYPD is trained to apprehend a crook. At least I hope that's not how they train them.
You are absolutely right...clothes hanging would have been much much more entertaining to watch.

So there is an update to this case. The cyclist is back to his day job and doing well. The charges against him will probably be dropped, due to the video, and he is probably going to sue.

Ok, now that we have a more complete picture of what happened...

The Officer needs serious remedial training,
and /or a personality evaluation
to determine if he even belongs in the force.
