+1 on MSF

My personal advice do things step by step. L!ke this old "what about bob?" movie. Baby steps. One small step at a time and lots of practice for everystep. The rule is that if you loose your confidence then you panic and if you panic then you crash. They have a term for this I can't remember now. So you don't want to be there when you can prevent it.

Get toa large open lot and just start playing around. If you don't have any damage protection on your bike (frame sliders, crash cage) this would be the ideal time to install it. For just starting out, it would be well worth the money because damaged plastic can add up real fast!

I have to agree with everyone who said dirt bike. Its a great way to learn the basics of operation, control and quicken reaction time. Then when that becomes natural take a MSF class.

agreed..just taught my friend how to clutch and stuff on my dirtbike last weekend. Just if its 2 stroke be warned to stay out of powerband for now..you have no business there
