I have done the "I put the kick stand down, but it never got down" bit. I pulled into the parking lot of the local video store to drop of a video. I put the stand down, or I thought the stand was down and by the time I reliezed the stand was not down, I was going down. I did my best to stop her, but to late. It was like slow motion. Only a small scratch on the crank casing. I picked that biek up so fast, it was like nothing. I felt like such a moron. I still have never forgiven myself for it. All of this happened at 11am.

Growing up I started off on a YZ80 dirtbike. I'd been riding a little Suzuki 50, which didn't have a clutch. So my first time on the 80. I was having a lot of trouble even learning how to pull a lever with my left hand, aside from even worrying about the clutch. So I'm out on dirt ahead of a little woopdy doo my bro and I made. I accidentally popped the clutch while adding quite a bit more gas than I should have. My feet flew off of the pegs and were dangling somewhere near the rear fender as I held on for dear life to the handle bars, which ended up further rotating the throttle(I guess you could call this my first superman attempt as well)...then I hit the woopdy doo, racked my "personal equipment" on the rear edge of the seat and knocked the wind out of myself. I finally ended up flat on my side with a nice little pipe burn, I got up, tossed the bike off me and passed out for a few seconds(jewels).

+1 on the horn.

Oh, I once spent a few minutes searching everywhere for my bike key, only to finally realize that I was holding it in my teeth.

Pulling my uncle's bike over the curb, purposely, to get it to it's parking spot (It's how we did it). I had done it tons, well, this time the forks shifted and the bike went down (in the grass). I was worried about whether I broke anything on the bike, the Uncle was worried whether I ****ed myself up. PSHHH, yeah right. I bounce like a ball.
Reminds me, I was car surfing once (about 25-30 mph), on a twisty mountain road (dirt and rock, more of a trail really), when my buddy break checked a pot hole, I lunge forward toward the hood, catch my balance on tip toe at the grill, he locks up the breaks thinking I was going over... I fly a good distance, hit, roll to my feet, and proceed to bitch him out for making my Sox (SEX) ball cap fall off and get dusty. Yeah, I bounce.

I think I'm part Ninja.

1. Forgot to put kickstand down at the gas station. Down I went. Nobody even bothered to help or ask if I was ok...thanks a lot! [sm=smiley35.gif]

2. Yep -- even after 5 years of using it, one morning I forgot to take off the disk lock. Wow, what a wake-up call! [sm=yikesomg.gif]
