NEWBIE MISTAKES!!!!
+1 on the turn singal, and i also rode around without lisence or registration for a couple of months i know its stupid and someone is going to say something about how wrong that was but i didnt care then.
wel this is alittle bit of my newbie moments.. first of three times on my bike.. about 10 minutes atime.. soo the third time im showing off with my friends.. dumped the clutch making a slight turn.. result? dumped my bike.. broken front faring * front windsheild.. wont be doing that again in a hurry lol
I almost bought the farm the first week I had my bike.[&o]
My brother had recently gotten divorced. So, he went out an bought a 600 Ninja because his ex old lady hated bikes. So, not to be out done, I went out an bought my first sportbike a CBR 600. I think Iridden my bike maybe twice before he came over that weekend. Since he had been riding for a month now, he knew some good back roads to ride. So, we jumped on our bikes, and off we went. Knowing the terrain mybrother raced away off into the distance. So, I think to myselfI can't let a Ninja run off an leave me. So, I start pushing the redline in every gear to catch him. Here comesmy 1ST NEWBIE MISTAKE, I am pushing my bike to it's limits on roadsI have never traveled before. Next thing I knowI see a turn sign ahead;not a 50 mph arrow, not a 40 mph arrow, not evena 30 mph arrow, but a 20 mph turn arrow.I glance down atmy instruments to see I'm doing 130 andthe turn is approaching fast. Here comes my 2ND NEWBIE MISTAKE, I only used my rear brake in fear ofa front brake wipeout.I figure I'm probably doing around 80 something after getting complete lockup with the rear tire. Now I have feet to decide wether to lay the brand new bike down, try to make the turn and pray there's no on coming traffic, or run straight through the turn and take my chances with the bar ditch and trees. I choose option number 3 knowing laying the bike downI could slide into to possible on coming traffic. With my rear tire completely locked up I skidthrough the turn an down the bar ditch only to go airborne on the up side of the ditch. Were not talking Evel Kenevial but both wheels left the ground. After dodging several trees I finally come to a heart pounding stop. I don't know how I managed not to hit any trees. But, I was very lucky no cars were coming and that the degree of the bar ditch did not jettison me from the bike. So, here I am many years later an much wiser.

first day i had my f2, just learning how to ride, i dropped it just trying to put the kickstand down, should have been looking instead of feeling it out. The kickstand/in gear, horn, blinkers...all classic....in fact i just had the kickstand incident the other day!
first week i had the f2, i was riding and all of the sudden ran out of gas, i was so pissed, couldn't start it or anything...called my girl to come get me....15 mins on the side of the road and my friend called and asked if i ran out of gas in the reserve too.....FCK..I was so pissed, I could have just switched to my reserve and rode off......WOW.....glad I have an f4i now, those little bars can tell me when i'm pretty low now.

First week of riding I pull up to an intersection and the nuetral light is on. I come to a stop let the clutch out and bam it is in neutral so im kool. Well so I thought. I sit there and watch the other lights and thinking my light is coming up I put it in gear. The lgiht didnt pick me up so I went to relax kick it up into neutral but didnt look for the light went for feel. And let the clutch out and sure enough it lunged foward and dipped to one side. I was able to catch it. I turn around to see a guy get out of his car to help. im already up on the bike hes says you alright. Embarrased im like yea im new. Hes all I can tell.. haha I sped off after that.
here is something to do to a newbie, and yes it was played on me before
while riding, ride up along side of the guy and hit his killswitch, he wont know what to do...he will pull off to the side of the road and panic, lol

I've hit the kill switch by mistake more than a few times. Talk about an idiot on the side of the road...now, if my bike doesn't start, I check the switch first...it always seems to start right away. Coincidence...I think not.

Never had the kickstand thing, but my bike doesn't have the kickstand shutoff.
+1 to the blinkers
+1 to the horn
My throttle is slightly sticky soI wave right handed all the time
(poor mans cruise control, it only sticks for half a second but you can wave that fast.)
Tryin to show off for my wife or friends and going down on indos.(stopped that crap last year, got too expensive to fix every timeI went down.)
Riding in February right afterI bought it with 8" of snow on the ground and having to chip the ice off the front brakes......long story...ever seen Indiana Jones and the Last crusade? My bike did the front flip. Luckily(or unluckily)I got thrown off and got to watch it go all the way over and catch about 10 ft of air on a perfecly flat road. Then watch it crash down on its left side.[:@]Then explain to the wife I have to buy a bunch of parts so my bike will still work....
Getting on it for the first time and almost running it through a tree, and partially up the roots.
Driving it home after buying it and dropping it at a steep intersection.
And the ever elusive 7th and 2nd gears. Gotta remeber to push harder from 1st to second....
You'd think after owning her for 9 years I'd be better at the gears/horn/blinker thing.
And yup almost all the road rash in the siggy is from me.

I had the ghostly, Scooby Doo Mystery7th gear problem for a while, but it is cool to me now how I can feel the machine (does that make sense?), and know when I am in the top gear. What I love is when my noobie wife stops at a stop sing (or stoplight) in fifth gear ( poor Kawi 250), and has to "rock" it into first...someday she will learn
