Default New gear and a lil help please

Well broke down and bought a new jacket and gloves, also got the wife a new helmet (she loves anything dragon) something more matching to the bike. I have always had textile, but thought it was time for something a bit sturdier and warmer. To my questions now, how long does leather usually take to "break in" or soften up a bit? Number 2, is there any type of protectant or sealer i should use on the jacket? I figured i could look online, but i would rather get it from the pro's who have been wearing it for a while . Few pics of the goodies

And the wife's new lid

I have nothing to offer other than mad props to the selection of gear man. Friggin' nice, dude.

I'm sure there are plenty of good conditioners out there, I think the real trick is in properly applying it to the leather as often as your supposed to. It could probably be perfect by the end of the season!

Looks great!

Any leather conditioner should suffice. I use some intended for car seats. All of my leather has been used, but I have to assume that new stuff will loosen up with a couple applications of conditioner and some use.

well, actually you wont even notice that it broke in. you'll just be riding one day and think to yourself "damn this thing fits NICE now!!!!".

as far as cleaning it, i just used meguires leather wipes (cleaning/conditioning) and they kept my jacket looking brand new!

Wear it around the house and stuff. It shouldn't take that long.

Clean it regularly (meguiars wipes are really good) and wear it as often as possible and you should be good to go.
