alright all. let me just say one thing "open mouth, insert foot". i now take back everything negative that i said about this game. i just got done doing about 5 hours of playing and it is damn addictive. it's definately better now that i have my own copy instead of playing arcade mode at work. takes a little to get used to the steering and the massive tendency to go down whenever leaving the pavement, but i guess that makes it more realistic. it's a real kick in the *** when you turn it on and your first and only bike is a moped that cannot win any races, but i really like the fact that you have to win better bikes instead of buying them. keeps you from racing easy level races for hours just to build up cash. it also took some "guess and check" time to set the riding style up to my liking but once there, OMG, it's like you're really riding the bike. i do wish there was more customization but oh well. guess you just get a different bike if you don't like the one you have.

overall, if you really like the gt games, you are going to love this game. if you weren't a fan of them, then you won't like this game either. the tracks are identical (for the most part) to the tracks in gt4 and even the screens and such are gt4 flashbacks. and i am so glad that they made the license tests a little easier to pass. that was my biggest complaint with gt4.

 

i'm glad you posted that, because i was reading some reviews of the game on another bike forum, and they were all saying that they hated it! i was having second thoughts about getting the game after reading those posts, but now i'm going to buy it for sure

Well, i bought the game and.....god damn am i bad at it! lol The first thing i did was do a time trial at laguna seca on a 600rr. i crashed on average about 5 times every lap! its definitely not like a regular racing game where you can just mash the buttons and go. you have to act as though your really on a bike. for example, if you go off the track into the sand, youll crash. if you flick the control stick one way and then the other too quickly, youll high side. the physics engine is pretty amazing. very realistic!

despite my own crappiness, i'm already addicted and highly suggest to any bike enthusiast. and i can do some pretty wicked wheelies and stoppies!

 

wow i am so addicted. i played last night for like 2 hours straight!

who here is up for a kind of forum tournament? lol We should all post up times for a lap around Laguna Seca on a street model CBR 600RR. My best so far is 1:35.816. Pretty bad, but I'm getting better all the time

 

Hands down, this game is SICK but one that should blow it out of the water is going to be MOTO GP 06 for the XBOX 360. I saw some clips and whatnot and decided finding a g/f may not be needed. Thank god for video games, especially when you live in the fricken snow belt.

This game is the real deal. Gran Turismo with bikes.
The handling is ridiculous and so are the graphics.
I can't believe how many different bikes there are and how many tracks there are.
You guys tried the photo mode yet? i keep finding new things to do.
