NEW BIKE TIME!!!
Well I just got off the phone with the most kick *** insurance company ever. Progressive ended up paying out pretty good coin for my 7 year old bike. With a salvaged title (that I did not know about).
The final value on the 954 ended up being $7400 - $500 deductible = $6900 towards a new bike!
And with my company paying me to move next week I'll have a few extra dollars left over to put towards a bike... so I figure somewhere in the range of $8k to $8.5k for my new bike without having to finance a thing.

Is it worth trying to buy it back from the Ins? Maybe part it out for some more money?

Get the bike as soon as you can for the best deal. I keep seeing 954s going for $5k or so right now. Also, I was at a dealer a few weeks back and the salesman was willing to sell me a new CBR 1000 for $8k. A nearly free upgrade would be pretty nice.

Glad to hear everything worked in your favor VP. I know it doesn't replace the hard work you put in to your 954,but It helps when the ins. company does you right. I don't know what ins. companies go by but State Farm totaled my 97 f3 3yrs. ago and bought it back and still ended up getting like $3000,which went to medicial bills.HAHA
