Default New Bike

Well after months of procrastinating & weeks of waiting, the big day finally arrived.
Picked her up this morning, took a quick couple of pics, only called in at home to show it to the missus & a quick pee & I was off (well only for about an hour) Wife has me on a short leash at the moment (Yes dear).
Still figuring out where everything is & wot button does wot. Usual Honda handbook, lots of information, but not informative...
Hope I'm still welcome here, it is still a Honda.

No don't have CBR, would have liked to, but the budget couldn't cope with the extra insurance & rego. Being retired (or semi retired as I am now) Means only a finite amount of money. And unless a rellie carps it & leaves you a bundle or a win on lotto, I'm pretty well stuffed. Its an 800, the 1200 depending on which model is $24990 or $25990 (+ on roads costs) definitely out of the ball park for yours truly.
The 800 is very similar to the F3, both in size, seating position, better engine braking at a cost of lower top speed. The paint is soft as buggery, so the black trim up the tank already has fine scratches on it. But who cares? since I'm not planning on trading it in & is probably my last bike.

Loving the single side swing arm. Very nice back man. Enjoy it.

To get the misses off ya tell her you gotta secret errand to run. A few hours later after your done riding come back with some flowers. WIN! lol

Nice choice for a retirement bike! I see myself making similar choices down the road...

I saw so many Interceptors @ the AMA superbike races last weekend. It's a super-popular bike indeed.
