If you get the wiff playin guitar hero she might like it...mine doesn't ever play any games but I've got her hooked on that.

 

You may want to try Splinter Cell. That is a fun game if you like that stealth stuff (which I do). Actually, I love anything by Tom Clancy. The new Star Wars game looks fun if it is anything like KOTOR.

 

definitely buy call of duty 4BEFORE halo 3

 

Crackdown is fun, but short lived. Army of Two is badass but short. Medal of Honor: Modern Warfare is sweet and once beat you can replay any mission you want. There's a new Mortal Kombat coming out soon, should be cool. Everyone seems to like Halo 3 but to me it's the same as the others. The new Star Wars is supposed to be good. Need for Speed & Project Gotham 4 & Grid are all good race games. Madden & NCAA if you like football. NHL 09 is good. The graphics on the 360 are definately amazing and won't dissapoint.

 

I have a pretty extensive list of games (probably around 15-20 by now) but the ones i find myself constantly playing / going back to are: COD4, Halo 3, Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero 2 (3 is crap), Virtua Tennis 3, Oblivion, and a ton of the Live games - my favorite is Geometry Wars 1. Dirt was probably my favorite racing game although the online mode is terrible.

Actually some of the games you can download and buy are amusing, and my wife loves those. Gauntlet, Mortal Kombat, and simple games like uno, pacman, and things like that.

 

If i could only have one game i would have to say COD4. Great game..And it truly is endlessly playable. Lately i have been playing GTA 4. And my longest non-stop game is 22 hours. Very addicting and super fun. Congratulations on your new xbox!

I would say either the new Madden, or NCAA. Depending on if you like pro or college.

I say try the new nascar game and let me know how it is!!! so I can see if its worth it
