my last xbox 360 questions thread.....
so at lunch im going to bite the bullet and go buy a 360....at walmart they have the price reduced $299 (pro is it? or premium can't remember) with the 60gb HD....and of course the arcade with no HD and wired controller, but they also have 1 360 left that is the pro (or prem) with the 20gb HD and wireless controller for $249....my question is there some other upgrades they did for the 60gb other than the HD size? i mean i probably won't be on live too much if at all, and how much HD space do i need...the $50 difference in price could buy a game....
question 2....what are the "must have" games for 360...im thinking of getting Halo3 and Ninja Gaiden 2. i was a HUGE ninja gaiden black fan on regular xbox, so i gotta try that....

i would get the newer one, it could be manufactured differently b/c of RRoD. plus, $50 for the extra 40GB is worth it, i dont dl much on xbl, but if you do, 20gb aint ****.
yeah i just checked online and i dont see the $249 one anymore...so its the 60gb $299 one for me...
gotta pick up 2 games and probably a second controller......
im open to anyones advice on this also.

I agree with Rrasco, the extra room could be worth it later on. Even if you dont go online you can rip cds onto it and such. Halo 3, COD4, are good 1st persons shooters, GTA4 is supposed to be good. For a drving game im still loving Burnout paradise, very awsome and they just added bikes
For myself, I had the Pro but when I got mine it only had the 20gb hard drive, that one died, red ring of death. After that I upgraded to the Elite, the black one with 120gb hard drive. It was $480 but I think they are about $400 now, maybe a bit less. It hasn't had a single problem, but I don't think anyone that you buy now will have any issues, they've been upgraded. The only thing you really need the hard drive space for is if your going to be downloading content from XBOX Live. Saved games don't take up too much space, riping CD's will eat it away slowly. Now I just load up my mp3 player or a flash drive and connect them to the USB port on the 360 for music. I don't use XBOX Live either so I really don't need the 120gb hard drive, but it's nice to have.
thanks guys....keep the advice coming.....
any games the wifey's like? (its a big purchase, so saying "i got this so you can play" will ease the pain lol)

Go with the newer model, I'm on my 3rd xbox due to Red ring of death.
viva pinata II - you will like it and your wife will like it

gta iv is only fun online for me....i didnt even finish the game like i did all the previous ones. not that it was bad, just the same stuff. rock band is killer for parties, but its pricey.
i like forza II, halo 3, cod4, and gta iv. i dont play nearly as much as i used to.
